Little Miracles Playgroup
A welcoming weekly gathering where young children play, learn and grow alongside their families.
Little Miracles' Playgroup offers a safe, calm and friendly environment for children from birth to school-age to play and interact with other young children.
Our playgroup is registered with Playgroup SA and is listed as a 'Play Together' playgroup, which means that families and children from all different backgrounds and needs can play and feel that they belong.
The Playgroup Program
The Playgroup Program is designed to:
Provide children with play activities that develop curiosity, concentration and good working skills within a stimulating, safe and aesthetically pleasing environment.
Learn through play, experimentation and positive role modelling.
Develop fine motor skills.
Provide children with the opportunities to interact in both Greek and English.
Contribute to children's social development, particularly through activities that promote sharing and cooperation with others.
Develop strategies for dealing with others.
Enhance parents' understanding about their children's needs and development, and offer ideas to provide a challenging and stimulating environment at home.
Learning Through Play
Free Play
There is a large emphasis on free play, giving children an opportunity each week to choose, experience and learn at their own pace.
Group Activities
Children are also invited to take part in group time where we sing songs, read stories and move our bodies.
Refreshments & Safe Space
Tea, coffee and light snacks, including fruit for the children, are provided. Our playgroup is a nut-free, smoke-free zone and operates in line with the SA Government's ongoing COVID management guidelines.
Our Philosophy
We believe that all children are capable, passionate and creative thinkers, who construct their own knowledge of the world.
Parents are encouraged to support and facilitate learning and have fun with their child.
